Emerge Church was born in the hearts of our pastors, Wade & Cynthia Moran, in 2010. While serving on staff at their home church, and with the support of their Pastor, they began dreaming of what Emerge could be. In September 2010 after a visit to Tallahassee, they both knew this was the city the Lord was calling them to plant the church that God put in their hearts.

In May 2011, Pastor Wade and Cynthia moved to Tallahassee to settle their family and begin building a strong launch team for Emerge. They held team meetings in their home, then the Hilton Garden Inn after outgrowing their living room.

On February 5 2012, Emerge Church officially opened its doors at Chiles High School as a portable church. For the next year and a half, an amazing team of people would spend their early Sunday mornings transforming a high school into a worship space, serving others during service, then loading everything back into trailers, all to be done again the following Sunday.

After a year and a half as a portable church at Chiles High School, Emerge leased a store front space on Capital Circle NE in June 2013. During our time at this location we grew and expanded to two worship services every Sunday.

In August 2017, due to the growth of Emerge, we moved to Gilchrist Elementary School, as a portable church again, to allow room for continual growth of our life-giving church.

In June 2020, we relocated to the Tallahassee Automobile Museum as our church continues to grow. We meet Sundays at 10:30AM.
