EMERGE CHURCH COVID-19 HEALTH AND SAFETY MEASURES

As members of our Emerge Church Family we ask that you continue to pray for God’s wisdom and guidance for us all as we meet in person.  We love all of you and cannot wait for the time when we can all be back together without masks and social distancing.  We are constantly in prayer for each of you and we know God will continue to provide through this time.  His promises for us are true and by faith we will receive them. THE BEST IS YET TO COME!!

Here are some important health and safety precautions we will continue to take:

  • Seating has been setup in a manner that allows us to maintain proper social distancing. This does not preclude you from sitting by people outside of your family or require you to sit alone.  If people wish to stand or sit away from those seated around the room, that is fine also.  This facility has more than enough room to allow everyone to be comfortable while social distancing.  If you need a chair and would like to sit further away from the main seating area just ask an usher and they will get one for you.

  • To be in compliance with Leon County Emergency Ordinance 20-15 our church will continue to require masks while in the Cord Banquet Hall due to COVID-19.  We understand there are some exemptions to this requirement, and they can be found in the ordinance which is located at this link below:

https://cms.leoncountyfl.gov/Portals/0/CMR/Docs/Amended%20Emergency%20Ordinance%2020-15.pdf?ver=2020-07-23-164637-463

  • We ask that everyone over 3 years old wear a mask unless they meet one of the exemptions outlined in the emergency ordinance. If you meet one of the conditions that exempts you from wearing a mask, we completely understand if you attend without wearing a mask.  We cannot be expected to police and confirm each of these exemptions, so we ask that anyone who does not wear a mask to be honest about doing so.

  • We will continue to have touch free hand sanitizer stations at the back of the room, and we urge everyone to wash their hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds after using the restrooms.  We also encourage everyone to cover coughs and sneezes with a tissue or use the inside of their elbow. We will also have a supply of face masks, gloves and antibacterial wipes on hand for your use.  A member of the hospitality team will be disinfecting doorknobs and surfaces in the bathrooms before and during the service.

  • It is more important than ever that we each act responsibly and not attend the worship service if we or any member of our family has been exposed to or showing any signs or symptoms of COVID-19, or any other illness that could infect others.  We should always be doing this to protect each other as a church family. If you or any member of your family have been displaying any symptoms of COVID-19 or if you feel you or a member of your family may have been exposed to someone with COVID-19 we would ask that you please participate via Emerge@Home. Symptoms of COVID-19 are detailed at the following link:

https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/symptoms-testing/symptoms.html

  • We ask that everyone be considerate of others involving physical contact (e.g., shaking hands or hugging). At our entrance we have yellow contact bands for those who are OK with physical contact.  DON’T FIST-BUMP WITHOUT THEM!  If people are open to hugs, handshakes, fist bumps, elbow bumps, etc. they can go right ahead and do it.  We are not going create an environment where people feel like they cannot do these things if they are comfortable with them.  However, we also are going to be respectful of those who might not be comfortable with physical contact yet.

If you have any questions or concerns, please speak to one of us or a member of our hospitality team. We appreciate your flexibility and understanding as we continue to navigate how to meet in the safest manner possible, while the guidance on how best to do so is constantly changing.

EMERGE KIDS COVID-19 HEALTH AND SAFETY MEASURES

As we relaunch our Emerge Kids Ministry here is some important information that we need everyone who attends in person services at the Tallahassee Auto Museum to know.  We appreciate your cooperation as we work to ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all the volunteers and children in our care.

  • For now, we will be requiring all children attending Emerge Kids to be pre-registered.  This will be available through the Church Center app, our website (EmergeChurch.com) and the link will be provided via email and social media. We will have limited space during this time in each of our children’s areas.  The window for registration will open each Thursday evening at 6pm and will stay open until all spaces are filled for each room.  No walk-up check-ins for Emerge Kids will be allowed on Sunday mornings except for first-time guests.  If you register your child and later determine that you will not be attending, we would appreciate it if you would cancel your Emerge Kids registration for that week.

  • When parents register their child in Planning Center, they will be asked health related questions regarding their child and family.  Before registering their child, all parents/guardians will have to agree that their family and child meet all the health/safety requirements to register. This includes agreeing to not bring their child to Emerge Kids if anything changes with the health/safety requirements between the time of registration and Sunday morning.  While we are in the middle of dealing with COVID-19, there are still other contagious illnesses that are easily passed between children.  Even after the masks come off and many of these precautionary measures are no longer necessary it will remain important that we be considerate of each other’s health and wellness.

  • Below are the following health related actions we will be taking for now to ensure the well-being of our children and volunteers.

  • All volunteers working with Emerge Kids will be wearing masks and will undergo a temperature check before entering the children’s areas. Any volunteer with a temperature over 99.9 degrees will not be allowed to enter the Emerge Kids area.

  • All children 4 years old and over will be required to wear a mask unless they have a condition that precludes them from wearing it.

  • All children will undergo a temperature check before being allowed to enter the Emerge Kids areas. Any child with a temperature over 99.9 degrees will not be allowed to enter the Emerge Kids area.

  • Hand sanitizer stations will be located at the entrance to all Emerge Kids areas and hand sanitizer will be available in all the rooms.

  • After Emerge Kids each week all rooms will be disinfected using an industrial fogger outfitted with an EPA approved disinfectant.  Areas will then be left empty until the next Sunday.

  • We are asking all parents who have a family member in their home awaiting a COVID-19 test result to not attend in person services until everyone receives a negative test result and all CDC suggested quarantine requirements are completed.

  • We are asking all parents who have a family member or members in their home who they know has come into contact with a confirmed or suspected case of COVID-19 to not attend in person services until everyone receives a negative test result.

  • Parents or guardians of children who appear to be ill or are displaying any concerning symptoms during Emerge Kids, will be notified on the screens in the worship area using the code on their check in sticker to go pick up their child.

  • Check-in will begin at 10:10am each Sunday morning for both Emerge Kids areas.  Since your child will be pre-registered, check-in will be quick and easy.  We would appreciate it if all children are checked out within 10 minutes of the end of the worship service so we can begin the process of sanitizing these areas.

We ask for your grace and understanding as we begin the process of relaunching Emerge Kids.  We plan to adjust the numbers of children we allow into each Emerge Kids area each week as we see how things go and as space allows.  We feel like we will have enough room to serve all our families.  However, we ask for your understanding if you are unable register certain weeks. Since our space is limited and our capacity is based on the number of available volunteers, we need to make sure we provide the safest and best experience possible as our children readjust to being with us again.  We want to make sure every parent feels comfortable leaving their child with us each week.
